The genuine achievement or pseudo achievement

Consciously, or unconsciously we are living in a very tight competition era. In this era, lecturers, students, and researchers try to reach outstanding achievements in their respective fields. Here the problem arises, how to measure the performances. There are two types of achievement, i.e., genuine and pseudo success. Sometimes, we misjudge a person or institution’s accomplishments. Pseudo achievement is usually done by manipulation, raising the small things to look great and can do many ways to achieve this. Sometimes, pseudo achievements are accomplished by ignoring the values of honesty, friendship, and so forth; only by the wise way can we assess whether the performance is a genuine achievement or pseudo achievement.

Jokowi: start with impactful small things and consistent

Why is Jokowi so phenomenally popular in Indonesia? Is it excellent? Or just as a propaganda product by the news media? The following is my opinion.

It is not easy to promote a famous figure like Jokowi through the mass media’s project propaganda. It will not work if the propaganda project is not following what is preached or propagated. Society is not stupid.

Why do people highlight Jokowi? This is because he is doing something. Although he did a little bit of action, it brought tremendous impact. Even though Jowoki does something that is not very significant, he’s doing impactful small things consistently. Society sees him as someone who makes changes that are not seen in other figures.

Well, now is the time for the presidential election campaign in Indonesia. People are already sick of hearing rhetoric statements from presidential candidates who seem smart and intelligent but do not do something real.
