Pesan yang saya sampaikan saat pengukuhan guru besar saya di Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) 11 tahun lalu; “excellence in research is one ultimate roots of academic excellence.” Saya terus mengulangi pesan itu sampai hari.
