In this Eid ul-Fitr, my family and I visited my wife’s kampong in Singapore, Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia, from 21 to 28 October 2006. For us, as Muslims, Eid ul-Fitr is a joyful celebration of the achievement of enhanced piety. Eid is also a time to come together as a community and to renew friendship and family ties. I, my wife, and my children meet with our extended family; cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, foster children, etc. Aqiqah, the sacrifice of a goat indium thanks to Allah SWT, a traditional celebration for the birth of Fahima Zikra, was also carried out on 22 October 2006 in Singaparna.

Alhamdulillah (all praise is due to Allah), I had a baby girl. My little princess, Fahima Zikra, was born on Tuesday, September 12, weighing 3.52 kg, measuring 50 cm long! She is healthy and growing more beautiful every day.
