Citation gaming

Citation gaming is a topic for researchers and lecturers, and also universities. Today, THES published an article entitled Citation gaming ‘increasingly sophisticated.’ I retweeted it on my Twitter. There is an interesting comment on Twitter about this: The only thing universities should do is stop analyzing citations! One considers that the more citation is used as a measurement tool for excellence in research, the more cheating in the citation. I know this game, and sometimes it’s hard to detect it.
