Congratulations to Iqrah Akbar from Kashmir for passing her Ph.D. viva-voce today at IIUM. Her thesis is on halal gelatin for food applications. Iqrah was supervised by Prof. Irwandi Jaswir.

External examiners were Prof. Dr. Noriham Abdullah (Faculty of Applied Sciences, Universiti Teknologi MARA) and Prof. Dr. Hadi Nur (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia). The internal examiner was Prof. Dr. Nassereldeen Ahmed Kabbashi (Department of Biotechnology Engineering, IIUM).
