For two days from 28 to 29 May 2015, I visited Padang. On 28 May morning, I attended a Ph.D. examination of Yelmida Aziz, my Ph.D. student at Universitas Andalas (UNAND). The chairman of the examination was Prof. Edison Munaf. The examination went well and the candidate responses and answers the questions raised by the examiners. Yelmida Aziz finally passed her open Ph.D. exam and was awarded the Ph.D. degree with very satisfactory judicium. Yelmida Aziz is supervised by Prof. Dr. Novezar Jamarun, Prof. Dr. Syukri Arief and Prof. Dr. Hadi Nur. She is my 17th Ph.D. student who graduated under my guidance.
On 29 May, I delivered lectures at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Barat (UMSB) and Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), respectively.
