Professor Tatsuya Okubo was a visiting professor under my invitation at Ibnu Sina Institute for Fundamental Science Studies, UTM from 26 April 2009 to 6 May 2009. During his visit, we discussed the possible collaboration between UTM and Tokyo University.
Prof. Tatsuya Okubo is currently a professor at the Department of Chemical System Engineering, The University of Tokyo, Japan. His research focuses on the nanoporous materials, which are expected to play a vital role in such fields as environment and energy, and are concentrating on their syntheses and applications. Prof. Okubo’s work has been published in over 160 top international journals.
