I was fortunate enough to find my genealogy during my visit to Pamuatan (the place where my mother was born in 1933) in West Sumatra, Indonesia. This genealogy is based on the matrilineal social system embodied in the Adat Perpatih Laws since my ancestor was a Minangkabau tribesman. It means that property is inherited through the female line. Our extended family has fields where the rubber is the most important crop in these fields. My family and I also visited these fields at Pamuatan.
